The WSA (Workers of St. Alban’s) Board approved two-year grants in 2026 to 17 non- profit charitable agencies in the DMV that are concerned with employment, children, education, and families. These agencies serve the neediest of the needy, and many success stories result from the work that they do.
The St. Alban’s Opportunity Shop, located in Satterlee Hall, through its sales of donated items, raises the funds that make the grants possible. Each year agencies apply for grants, and WSA board members visit the agencies and evaluate their applications.
The WSA Board distributes the grants through the church treasury. This year, WSA has made grants to agencies in the two grant categories of Employment and Children/Education/Families. The agencies that received grants primarily to help with programs that support employment and children, education, and families are listed as follows:

Charlie’s Place
Children’s Chorus of Washington

Friendship Place
