The Vestry of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church met on June 17, 2026, and received updates on parish life, finances, facilities, and ministry programs. Rev. Bertie reported on the successful launch of the new food pantry and a staff reorganization that included updating Ellie Bangay’s title to Director of Administration.

Rev. Sarah discussed plans for expanded women’s ministry programming, while Rev. Mark reported on children’s ministry assessments, plans for an additional Godly Play class, and his upcoming paternity leave.

Treasurer Hollis McLoughlin reviewed church finances, noted increased personnel, audit, and insurance costs. He announced the closure of the HVAC capital campaign, and presented a plan for allocating the approximately $419,000 Quentin Meyer bequest among the Reserve Fund, Endowment Fund, and Designated Funds, which the Vestry approved.

Amanda Gilman thanked Youth Representative Jay Chadwick for his exceptional service on the vestry. She also highlighted parish events, committee activities, the creation of additional Godly Play space, and the launch of “StoryCorps”-type interviews with parishioners.

Lucy Cage reported progress on the easement agreement with the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation, upcoming roof repairs and drainage work, and plans for engineering studies related to the Columbarium expansion and playground redesign. The Vestry approved resolutions authorizing up to $20,000 for site analysis work associated with those projects and up to $25,000 for fire safety and code-compliance
improvements in the Op Shop area of Satterlee Hall.
