Children’s Chapel
Children are always welcome for the entirety of our liturgies, but we also offer Children’s Chapel for children ages 2 to 5th grade during the 9 a.m. service in Nourse Hall. Children’s Chapel is a Liturgy of the Word for children and families, which includes singing, a lesson from the Bible, and communal prayer. Children’s Chapel participants rejoin “big church” at the Peace. Parents are welcome to drop little ones off by 9 a.m. or remain with them during Children’s Chapel.
Godly Play Sunday School
We offer Sunday School classes for children ages 2.5 to 5th grade. Our classes meet on the 2nd Floor of Satterlee Hall (the building across the street from the church) from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. We use a Montessori-based curriculum called Godly Play that emphasizes playful and wondering exploration of our scriptures and traditions.
Kid’s Table
During our regular Wednesday Nights at St. Alban’s, children ages 2.5 to 5th grade are invited to Kids’ Table on the 2nd Floor of Satterlee from 6 to 7 p.m. At Kid’s Table, we share a meal, sing and pray together, and learn a Bible story. Kids especially love sampling a surprise food related to that week’s lesson!
Choristers
All children and youth from Kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome to join our Choristers. Rehearsals are Wednesday evening from 5:15 – 6 p.m. Our chorister program offer excellent vocal training, music theory, and Christian formation, and choristers have the opportunity to sing during 9 a.m. services. No musical experience is required. For more information, reach out to our Chorister Program Director Joseph Kaz.
Youth Groups
Youth are invited to join us for our growing Middle School (6th – 8th grades) and High School Groups (9th – 12th grades). We gather every Sunday from 10:15-11:15 a.m. in the Satterlee Hall Basement for an icebreaker, prayer, singing, and discussion. All are welcome!
