St. Alban’s Annual Meeting & Vestry Election

This Sunday, February 8, 2026, St. Alban’s will hold its Annual Meeting and Parish Election. We will elect a new Junior Warden for a three-year term and four Vestry members for three-year terms. Under the Bylaws of St. Alban’s Parish, as amended in September 2024, the Nominating Committee has recommended a single candidate for each open position. Click here to learn more about the candidates for 2026.

Here are some highlights of the Balloting Procedures for 2024, which are essentially identical to those employed last year, except that they are entirely online this year. These procedures are designed to ensure that all St. Albanites who are eligible to vote can do so.

“qualified voter” is a person who, at least thirty (30) days before the meeting at which he or she is to vote, is
(a) a member of The Episcopal Church as defined in the Canons of The Episcopal Church,
(b) recorded as a member in the Parish register,
(c) at least 15 years of age, and
(d) either a contributor to the financial support of this Parish for at least six (6) months as determined by the Treasurer or a contributor of services to this Parish for at least six (6) months, as determined by the Rector. The Vestry will determine any issue concerning who is a qualified voter.

Each voter must have their own email address on file.  By now you should have received one or two emails confirming that you are a qualified voter.  If you have not, and believe you are qualified to vote, or if you have questions, please email Roland Mansfield or Mery Montenegro as soon as possible.

The voter list must be finalized by Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

How to vote

We use ElectionBuddy.com, an electronic voting platform. On the day of the election, an email with a secure link to the ballot will be distributed to each registered voter. On February 8, 2025, ElectionBuddy.com will be programmed to allow voting starting at 12:01 a.m.  Voting will close 24 hours later, at midnight. This will allow the maximum time for voting consistent with the bylaw requirement that “Wardens and Vestry Members will be elected on the day of the Annual Meeting.” ElectionBuddy.com will be programmed to provide the results to the Rector, the Senior Warden, and the Secretary. After informing the candidates of their individual results, the results will be promptly published to the Parish.
