As we are in the final two-week countdown to Christmas, we can now conclusively say that Christmas Dinner 2024 has been set aside as we begin building a new support structure for 2025 and beyond. However, we have a couple of options to dine and serve this upcoming Christmas:
- We’re happy to report you can still have a Christmas dinner – prepared by our friends at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and delivered to your home – by calling the Basilica at 202-526-8300, preferably before the end of the day Monday, December 16.
- Volunteers: the Basilica desperately needs drivers to deliver 1,000+ Christmas dinners throughout the community. “Episcopalians (and friends) with cars” would be a way to take the spirit of our Christmas Dinner on the road and help our neighbors. If you can help deliver meals Christmas morning, picking up as early as 7:45 am to no later than 9:30 am, please call the Basilica’s Christmas Volunteer Coordinator at 202-526-8300 or sign up by clicking here.
