Mustard Seed: Immigrant Relief
Recent changes in immigration policies have resulted in children being separated from parents at the border and in long-time U.S. residents having had their immigration status suddenly changed. Some members of the Latino congregations in our own Diocese have been affected.
In response to detentions and deportations, the Episcopal Diocese of Washington has created a fund to provide support for families and children in immigration crises in our area. "We are not powerless in the face of such pain and suffering," Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde said in announcing the formation of the fund.
The July Mustard Seed Collection at St. Alban's will go to this fund.
