Good Friday 2021
Friday, April 02, 2021
On Good Friday we commemorate the passion and death of Jesus Christ on the cross. Many Christians spend Good Friday in fasting, prayer, repentance, and meditation on the agony and suffering of Christ.
A prerecorded service in English will be available on our Youtube page beginning at 8:00 a.m. We will essentially follow the liturgy as given in the Book of Common Prayer, with the Passion Gospel according to John separated into four parts. Each section will contain a meditation, music, and prayers for people everywhere according to their needs.
The Proper Liturgy for Good Friday will be offered in person at noon in English in the church and at 7:00 p.m. in Spanish in Nourse Hall. (Please note: In conjunction with Diocesan guidelines for Phase 2 of coronavirus reopening and in order to maintain appropriate physical distance, attendance for each of the services will be limited, and registration is required. Registration information will be sent to our email list the Monday before the service. Please contact the church office if you would like to be added to our email list.).
