St. Alban's Gala 2018
All Kids Bright and Beautiful
Our annual gala will be held on Saturday, April 21. The silent auction and reception begin at 6:00 p.m. in Nourse Hall, followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. in Satterlee Hall.
Proceeds from the gala and silent auction will benefit Harriet Tubman Elementary School in Washington, DC, Hope and Resurrection School in South Sudan, and St. Saviour's School in Zarka, Jordan. Learn more about our beneficiaires.
Come bid on amazing auction items: framed art, hand-made ceramics, excursions, adventures and much more. Or place your bid in advance (details to come).
Tickets to attend the gala dinner and auction sell for $100 each; tickets to attend the reception and silent auction only sell for $60. If you'd like to help a representative from one of the three beneficiary organizations or a fellow parishioner attend the gala, Angel tickets are available for $100 each.
Volunteers will be selling gala tickets in the narthex on Sundays, following each of the services. If you plan to purchase a gala ticket and will need childcare, please indicate this when you purchase your ticket. Checks should be made out to St. Alban's Church with "Gala 2018" in the memo line.

Harriet Tubman Elementary School in Washington, DC
Tubman serves 575 prekindergarten through 5th grade students, many from homeless shelters and low-income housing. 99% of the students are eligible for free or reduced lunch, and the majority speak English as a second language. Your gift will support intervention programs for struggling students and supply a food pantry.
Hope and Resurrection School in South Sudan:
In the world’s newest nation, torn by civil war and with an 80% illiteracy rate, Hope & Resurrection provides a safe haven and secondary education to 231 students.
St. Saviour’s School in Jordan:
An academically rigorous K-12 school serving 350 sighted and blind students, St. Saviour’s is located in a gritty industrial city whose economy has been eavily impacted by the Syrian refugee crisis. With your help, we will provide full scholarships for up to six students who would otherwise have to drop out because of their families’ loss of income and inability to pay school fees.
